Biography
Stella Mimikou is a Greek visual artist from Nea Artaki, Evia. Her artistic practice combines painting, collage, sculpture and mixed media, transforming everyday materials into expressive works that explore history, collective memory, peace, human rights, the environment and the relationship between humanity and nature.
Throughout her career she has developed a distinctive visual language in which symbolic forms, historical references and recycled materials coexist. Her work has been presented in solo and international group exhibitions across Europe, Asia and Latin America and has received numerous distinctions in international art competitions and biennales. Several of her works are included in museum and private collections.

Artistic Practice
Working primarily with mixed media, acrylics, collage and found materials, Mimikou creates works inspired by cultural identity, environmental awareness, historical events and social issues. Recycling and material transformation play a central role in her work.

My work is an ongoing dialogue between memory, humanity and nature. I believe art has the power to preserve history, inspire reflection and encourage respect for our world. By transforming ordinary and recycled materials into visual narratives, I seek to reveal beauty, hope and resilience in everyday life.
